The challenging heating nature of bitumen due to its high viscosity and the thermal oil system flow profile are determined by engineers with experiences in this aspect.
In certain cases, additional inserts are incorporated to boost up the flow’s Reynold number in order to achieve high overall heat transfer coefficient between the thermal oil and bitumen.
Bitumen cake melting systems are designed, fabricated and installed by us. We are also involved in bitumen pumping and transfer by double wall jacketed pipes.
