Incorporated in 1996, KAWAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. (Formerly known as Kawan Dynamic Engineering Sdn. Bhd.) has evolved from a general fabricator to a technology driven equipment and steel fabricator in Malaysia.
KAWAN® is licensed to manufacture Heating Boilers and Unfired Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangersby the Departmental of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) Malaysia. Accreditation by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as authorized “U” Stampmaker is also obtained in the similar field. Pressure vessels are manufactured and tested by us in accordance with the A.S.M.E. Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. In addition, license for LPG/LNG piping and Repair Boiler & Unfired Pressure Vessel Service were granted by the DOSH and the Department of Electricity and Gas Supply (JBEG). The recognition from local government bodies includes Class “A” Contractor by Contractor Services Centre (Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor, PKK), Registered Contractor with Grade “G7” by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Registered Contractor by The Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF)& Manufacturing License by The Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia (MITI) to ensure high competence in our products & services.
Engineering software, PV-Elite is used to design, bid or re-rate a wide variety of vessels and vessels components in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII Division 1, Division 2, Canadian NBC and PD5500 (British) Rules. On the other hand, an AutoCAD-based system, CADWorx is being used to provide intelligent drawing / database connectivity, advanced levels of automation and intelligent link between CAD and pipe stress analysis.
As part of continuous improvement, KAWAN® and Aquaheat Pte Ltd, New Zealand has entered a technical transfer program whereby intellectual properties and machineries of AQUAHEAT are acquired by KAWAN® for it to produce Thermal Oil Heaters, Hot Water Boilers, Air Pre-heaters andSteam Generators. Additional to that is UK patented Economizer with heat tubes from Econotherm.
Aided by the certification of International Standard: ISO 9001: 2008 for the Design, Manufacturing and On-site Commissioning of Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchange System, Water & Waste Treatment and Process Equipment, KAWAN® has been providing a wide range of quality engineering products and services to meet the needs of various industries. With an engineering crew of approximately 35 experienced and dynamic personnel, we customized design, fabricate, install and commission plants / systems. Our annual sales turnover was recorded at RM 70 million in 2007.
